From an urban planning perspective, the FOITT's administration building fulfils two important functions: Together with the existing building, it defines the access area to the site. On the other hand, the new building plays a supporting role as a link to the northern part of the site. The existing terrain allows the building to be accessed on two levels. Both entrances are connected to each other in the interior of the new building via a two-storey, open foyer and thus characterise the spatial quality. The proportions of the base area, the arcade-like incisions of the entrances and the colour of the façade take up the dialogue with the existing building. Together, the two buildings form an urban whole. And last but not least, the architectural diversity leaves many design options open for the further stages on the site.
